Johannes Faupel is the founder and owner of the Systemic Report. Living in Frankfurt am Main, working as systemic counsellor, executive coach, and systems thinker across Germany and Europe.

People are the fascination. Their thoughts, their dreams, their attempted solutions, the plans they make and the plans they abandon – and especially the moments when they decide whether to buy something, or not. That fascination is what produced the Systemic Report.

The credentials behind the work are unusual in their combination: 17 years of systemic counselling – the discipline of seeing people as parts of systems they don't fully see themselves – combined with around 30 years of marketing and copywriting. Most people who do one of these professions have never done the other. The Systemic Report exists at the intersection because that's where the two disciplines turn out to compound.

Why the combination matters.

Most marketing analysis is conducted by marketers. Marketers are excellent at marketing – they know the channels, the platforms, the metrics, the optimization moves. They are typically not trained in the psychology that governs how prospects decide. The result is marketing that addresses what prospects say they want, not what they actually need.

Most psychological analysis is conducted by therapists, coaches, and counsellors. They are excellent at understanding people – the fears, biases, motivations, and self-deceptions that drive behavior. They are typically not trained in the commercial fluency that translates psychological insight into copy, content, and conversion. The result is psychological work that doesn't reach the marketing organization that would benefit from it.

The Systemic Report exists in the gap. Seventeen years of systemic counselling provides the discipline to see what prospects don't see in themselves. Three decades of marketing and copywriting provide the fluency to translate that into pages, scripts, and roadmaps a marketing team can ship.

Why every report is written by hand.

Each Systemic Report engagement is run sequentially, not in parallel. One author. Twenty-one days per engagement. The pattern recognition that produces the value cannot be delegated to associates, and it cannot be replaced by an AI workflow that would ship the same volume in three hours. If you wanted a generated report, you'd have generated it yourself.

AI is in the loop – for ingesting analytics data, for processing topical maps, for surface-level pattern matching. The determining subject of the document stays human. The synthesis, the reframings, the bias diagnoses, the language choices in the get-done-now roadmap – these are written by a human with skin in the game.

This is also why the queue is a real queue. Some weeks the next available slot is six weeks out. The price reflects only the human-attention constraint, not what the market would bear at this level of differentiation.

The disciplines that inform the work.

The Systemic Report draws on five overlapping fields of practice and theory:

  • Systems thinking – Forrester, Senge, Meadows. The discipline of seeing wholes, feedback loops, and emergent properties rather than isolated components.
  • Systemic counselling – the German tradition (Helm Stierlin, Kurt Ludewig, Tom Levold). Family systems and organizational systems share more structure than the two literatures usually acknowledge.
  • Constructivism – Heinz von Foerster, Paul Watzlawick, Ernst von Glasersfeld. The recognition that customers don't perceive your value proposition; they construct it from the cues you give them.
  • Direct response copywriting – Hopkins, Ogilvy, Halbert, Caples. The craft of language that produces action – not just attention, not just consideration, but specific moves on the part of the reader.
  • Semantic SEO – Koray Tuğberk Gübür's framework. Topical authority, query semantics, and the principles of building content for search engines that increasingly read context, not just keywords.

Each Systemic Report blends these. The blend is what produces a document that reads like a strategy memo rather than a tool export – and that, after delivery, gets implemented rather than shelved.
